
Catherine Jane Ford, born 5 December 1969 is an English comedian, actress, and writer. Tate has been nominated seven times for the BAFTAs, an International Emmy Award, and numerous other accolades for her performance in the BBC sketch comedy show The Catherine Tate Show (2004)-2007. Tate played Donna Noble in Doctor Who's Christmas special 2006. Then she reprised her role as the Tenth Doctor's frequent companion on the fourth series. [2] Following the success of The Catherine Tate Show, Tate played Joanie Taylor ("Nan") in the BBC One comedy series Catherine Tate's Nan (2009-2015) and in the film The Nan Movie (2022). In 2011, she began playing the role of Nellie Bertram on the U.S. version of The Office and became an ongoing character until the show ended. She portrayed the character as Miss Sarah Postern in the BBC One sitcom Big School (2013-2014) and played the role of Magica De Spell in the animated series DuckTales (2017-2021). Tate had six roles in Hard Cell, the Netflix comedy show she co-wrote as well as co-directed.
