Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was born South London, England into a family of mixed blood. Madekwe is English as well as her father was Nigerian. Her family was raised in the south of a London council estate, and went to The Brit School at age 14. She studied acting at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London. She appeared in many stage productions during her college days, such as the stage productions King Henry V and Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe began acting with Storm Damage. In the years since, she's been a guest star in Teachers, Doctors, Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe made her debut motion-picture role in the Woody Allen movie Cassandra's Dream, opposite Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor. Her popularity led her to play Elisha in a one-off BBC Three drama West 10 LDN pilot. She then appeared in six episodes Trexx and Flipside playing the character of Ollie. In 2008, she was cast as Bambi who was the leading character in the ITV2 drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was a star in 2008's comedy How to Alienate and Lose Friends. The credits on stage for Madekwe are Little Sweet Thing and Flight Path.
Madekwe made her US debut in the series The Beautiful Life in 2009. The show aired just two episodes at The CW, and was eventually removed from the air. Ashley Davenport, a character from ABC's Revenge drama series was cast for her as Ashley Davenport. Madekwe was in the episodes of the series' first two seasons as an regular. In May of 2013, word broke that the actress would leave the show after her guest appearance in the first episode of the series' third season. She starred as Tituba in the television series Salem from 2014 until 2016. Madekwe married her actor partner Iddo goldberg in June of 2012. They collaborated in the film Secret Diary of a Call Girl. He also played with her on Salem.
Ashley Leggat, a twice Gemini nominated actress, was born into a large family in Hamilton, Ontario. Her parents, Roy and Patty and her brothers Brett, Todd, and Bram, were all present. Ashley's four brothers, who were all extremely active, took part in hockey during the winter and baseball during the summers, meaning that she grew up playing in arenas and baseball parks. Ashley was unable to walk, but danced. In the end, when she turned 2 when she was two, she began to learn about Baby Ballet. This was the beginning of Ashley's passion for dance. When she was in high school, Ashley danced competitively in the top divisions in ballet, tap, jazz and pointe as well as acrobatics, lyrical, musical theatre and hip-hop. In addition, she won best soloist awards at all important dance competitions such as International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance and many more.
