Aunjanue E. Taylor Aunjanue E. Taylor, an American actor-producer and stage actress is well-known for her role in the movie Ray Undercover Brother as well as appearing in The Mentalist. She holds a BA in African-American Studies from Brown University and an MFA in acting from the Tisch School of the Arts New York University. Aunjanue has a reputation as an American actress also known as producer and director. She is employed in film and television. Her career in acting began at the theatre. She then appeared in numerous television shows in independent films, mainstream and movies. She was known for appearing as Miranda Shaw (ABC's Quantico) as well as on BET's epic The Book of Negroes. Both series received major praise from critics, and she also won a lot of prizes. In 1995, she made her debut in the role of Ariel on the stage as Ariel in The Tempest. Apart from Broadway's Come and Gone, she also has credits for Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. Her film career is highlighted through her roles in Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express, and The Help. Her part as a regular on the drama series High Incident on ABC High Incident earned her praises.
